We're seeking a dynamic individual who will not only plan and develop compelling marketing strategies but also bring them to life with precision and finesse. As a key player in our brand's journey, you'll have the exciting opportunity to build brand equity and create both immediate and lasting returns on investment for our cutting-edge contact lens portfolio. Reporting to the Senior Brand Manager, Vision Care, the Product Manager will be responsible for the management and execution of strategies to generate strong demand and to realize business plan objectives. Activities center around healthcare professional and patient marketing, including strategic planning, pricing, forecasting, advertising and promotions, packaging, budget management, financial analysis, and project management.
Major Accountabilities:
45% - Strategy & Planning

Develop executable marketing plans that drive sales, share and profit improvements.

Establish marketing strategies including advertising/promotions, pricing strategy, distribution channel management, product development, tactical plan development and execution.

Execute channel product positioning and competitive selling strategies.

Working with the National Accounts team, strengthen consumer communications through effective creation and implementation of customer specific marketing campaigns including retailers, optometric buying group customers, consumers, and eye care professionals.

Lead new product launch activities or brand extensions.
40% - Execution with Excellence

Work closely with agency partners to develop, evaluate, execute, and track advertising/promotions.

Synthesize and share best practices e.g., lessons from other markets on go to market approaches, application of novel launch innovation.

Conduct analysis of specific business issues and evaluate competitive activity, product performance and marketing communications and proactively share findings.

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve objectives; Stakeholders include National Accounts Team, Field Sales, Global Marketing, Regulatory Affairs, Operations, Senior Leadership, external vendors or agencies and key industry opinion leaders.

Provide support as needed on specific projects undertaken by Marketing Team

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:

Minimum Education: University Degree in related field Preferred BSc, MSc and/or MBA

Minimum Experience: 2 years in Health Care Professional/Pharma/Medical Devices marketing and 2 years in Health Care Professional/Pharma/Medical Devices sales experience

KOL Management and Strong presentation skills

Preferred: 2 years within industry healthcare field sales experience (eye care, medical device, pharma)

Language: English (mandatory), fluent spoken and written, French an asset.

Computer literacy in MS Office environment (PowerPoint and Excel) and experience with a computerized sales administration system.

Business acumen with proven analytical ability, organizational and networking skills.

Strong interpersonal, leadership and marketing skills paired with financial understanding.

Ability to develop strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Travel Requirements: Required travel 15 - 20% of time annually within North America for conferences, educational events & training (Includes some weekend and evening work)
