Peterbilt Manitoba Ltd. is looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Red Seal Journeyman Body Work Technician to join the Winnipeg Body Shop Department. Reporting to the Body Shop Manager, the Body Shop Technician will provide timely and quality repair, maintenance, and servicing of heavy-duty truck components.
The Role:
- Repair and replace various heavy-duty truck components
- Operate soldering equipment and use plastic filler to repair holes, dents, and seams
- Remove damaged fenders, panels, and grills using wrenches, cutting torch and bolt, or weld replacement parts into place
- File, grind, and sand repaired body surfaces using hand and power tools
- Mask and tape truck body surfaces in preparation for painting
- Repair and replace glass components (windows and windshields)
- Repair and replace interior components such as seat frame assembly, carpets, and floorboard insulation
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Red Seal Journeyman status in Body Work is required or a combination of work experience
- Previous experience working on Heavy-Duty Trucks considered an asset
- Superior interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a team
- Demonstrated knowledge and comprehensive understanding of equipment, materials, and repair techniques
- Exemplary time management skills with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced work environment and produce positive results with diligent respect for deadlines
- Tenacious problem solver with the ability to identify problems and implement solutions with keen attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to lift 50lbs consistently and safely
