SUMMARY
We are hiring a Press Machine Helper (Stacker) to join our Web Press team. This role will be a full-time, permanent position. We are looking for someone who is dedicated to team safety and well being, being respectful, and acting with integrity. We strive for excellence in everything we do! The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing or commercial printing environment, be able to lift and move heavy items, demonstrate a high level of attention to detail, and will align with our core values and company culture.
The Press Machine Helper (Stacker) will be responsible for assisting in the manufacturing of print products using the highest standards of quality and efficiency. As a stacker, you will support the Press Operators in the operation of web print press machines and assist with preparation tasks, transporting skids, and other set-up duties as required.
SCHEDULE (Stacker): 12-hour rotating shifts;
Monday to Wednesday from 6 am - 6 pm
Sunday to Tuesday from 6 pm - 6 am
Thursday to Sunday from 6 am - 6 pm
Wednesday to Friday from 6 pm - 6 am
AS A PRESS MACHINE HELPER (STACKER), YOU WILL MAKE YOUR IMPACT BY:
Maneuvering products off the press machine using robotic equipment and/or lifting manually
Assisting the Press Operators with press preparation tasks
Accurately labeling skids and transporting them to the appropriate stations
Performing all set up requirements as instructed by the Press Operator(s) including installing plates, loading proper stock, verifying web leads, and assisting in other duties as needed
Completing required documents for cost and efficiency purposes
Monitoring the job at regular intervals until completion to ensure the highest level of quality control - WE STRIVE FOR EXCELLENCE IN EVERYTHING WE DO!
Ensuring that the finished products are transferred efficiently and on a timely basis to the next station for handling
Maintaining safe working conditions and reporting any deficiencies, equipment defects and/or hazards to the Press Operator(s) - WE BELIEVE IN TEAM SAFETY AND WELL BEING!
YOU CAN EXCEL AS A PRESS MACHINE HELPER (STACKER) IF YOU HAVE:
A minimum education completion of High School Diploma or equivalent experience
A strong manual dexterity to operate, control, and adjust machinery and press equipment
Experience in a commercial printing facility is a definite asset
The ability to lift and move heavy items
A high level of attention to detail
The ability to work as a team with strong interpersonal and communication skills
Good problem solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills

SUMMARY
We are hiring a Bindery Helper to join our Bindery team. This role will be a full-time, permanent position. We are looking for someone who is dedicated to team safety and well being, being respectful, and acting with integrity. We strive for excellence in everything we do! The ideal candidate will have experience in general labour, a completion of secondary school education or equivalent, and will align with our core values and company culture.
The Bindery Helper is responsible for assisting in the operation of equipment such as knife, folder, stitcher, and perfect binder. They will also prepare equipment and supplies, move product to and from the equipment and work area, feed product into equipment, and inspect the finished product at the end of the equipment for defects. This is an entry-level position that will start your career in the Print industry.
SCHEDULE (Bindery): 11-hour rotating schedule; Monday to Thursday (nights) from 7pm to 6am.
AS A BINDERY HELPER, YOU WILL MAKE YOUR IMPACT BY:
Reviewing job tickets with Bindery operators to gain a strong understanding of job specific requirements
Moving skids of products from the Press area to various Bindery Equipment
Setting-up work areas for specific jobs while bringing in required supplies and material
Operating basic bindery machinery and performing bindery operations such as assembly, collating, binding, stitching, trimming, folding, and finishing
Inspecting books for defects at the end of the production line
Removing defective products as required
Advising Bindery operators of recurring defects in material or equipment operation
Moving finished product to next process as required
Practicing safety protocols while consistently maintaining a clean work area - WE BELIEVE IN TEAM SAFETY AND WELL BEING!
YOU CAN EXCEL AS A BINDERY HELPER IF YOU HAVE:
A completion of secondary education and/or equivalent
Experience in general labour; preferred
Experience in hand bindery or operating bindery equipment is an asset
The ability to lift up to 35 pounds with a strong manual dexterity and hand/eye coordination
A high level of attention to detail and quality consciousness
The ability to read, understand, and follow instructions procedures and work with minimal supervision
Strong motivation and the ability to work in a fast paced environment
