Performs routine duties in cleaning and servicing of guestrooms and baths. Conducts rotating cleaning duties accorded by management. This position includes but not limited to heavy lifting, bending, stretching, pushing, long periods of standing and exposed to cleaning chemicals. Room attendants promote a positive image of the property to guests and must be pleasant, honest, friendly and should also be able to address guest requests and problems. Not limited to room attendant duties and must be willing to "pitch-in" and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Arrives 15 minutes prior to shift
- Prepares housekeeping cart with essentials for the shift and replenishes at the end of shift with tracking sheet
- Enters and prepares the room for cleaning
- Makes the bed(s), pull-out sofas
- Dusts & polishes the room, all furniture including pulling and cleaning behind furniture, appliances, artwork and all areas of guestroom
- Cleans windows, deck, sliding doors
- Replenishes guestroom and bath supplies
- Cleans the bathroom, including glass showers
- Cleans the closet
- Vacuums all upholstery
- Sweeps and mops the floors, including bathroom and under the bed and all furniture
- Ensures security of guestrooms and privacy of guests
- Performs rotation cleaning duties accorded by housekeeping supervisor
- Ensures cleanliness of hallways including doorknobs, doors, walls, floors swept, mopped and carpet vacuumed, artwork, lamps, ice machines, vending machines, windows, chair rails, wainscoting
- Track and maintains their inventory of amenities and linen daily
