What You're Passionate About:
You're better at solving mysteries than Sherlock Holmes is at finding criminals. Helping customers learn about parts requirements, directing them to online resources and assisting in getting trucks back on the road quickly is what you live for. Looking at the big picture, you are a detail-oriented individual who is both computer savvy and likes to keep things organized. If you enjoy customers and being the superhero of support for both internal and external clients, then the Parts Person job is for you.
A Typical Day for a Parts Person:
- Customer service focus with strong communication skills
- Sell, store, and supply parts to customers
- Computer use to process parts and supplies, maintain records, prepare orders, post receipts, sales contracts, stock adjustments and credit requests
- Follow the inventory and merchandising processes while maintaining the retail display
- Implement workflow procedures and continuous improvement initiatives for the department
What You Bring:
- Heavy duty parts knowledge
- Self-starter able to work in a fast-paced, detailed environment
- Adequate computer skills
- Journeyperson Parts Technician ticket is optional
- Class 5 driver's license
