Student Care is a group of eight established school-age care programs located in highly regarded elementary schools, providing quality and age appropriate program experiences for groups of children and families since 1988.
Due to increased enrollment, we are seeking to welcome full-time and part-time staff members with Early Childhood Educator Level 1, 2 or 3 certification (or those looking to enroll in education in the ECE field) to our before and after school program and lunchtime supervision teams at two of our locations. Hours can be full-time if the candidate would like to work lunchtime supervision, or part-time at Westmount, if the candidate would only like to work in the before and after school program.
Location 1: Calgary Arts Academy Elementary School (2036 20th Ave SW). The hours will be Monday to Friday 7:00AM-9:00AM, 11:30AM-1:30PM and 3:00PM-6:00PM (total 35 hours per week). Preference will be given to candidates with ECE level 2 or 3, or candidates enrolled in courses leading to ECE level 2 or 3.
Location 2: Westmount Charter Elementary School (728 32 Street NW). The hours will be Monday to Thursday 7:00 AM-9:00 AM and 3:00 PM-6:00 PM, and Fridays 7:00-9:00 AM and 2:00 PM-6:00 PM (total 26 hours per week). If the candidate would like to work full-time (36 hours per week), lunch supervision from 11:15 AM-1:15 PM Monday to Friday can be added at the Calgary Arts Academy Middle School (1406 40 Street SW).
*Please note that for Non-School Days, we will ask if you can work an 8 hour straight through shift, unless you have scheduling conflicts, which can be discussed in the interview.
The successful candidates will join an experienced team to implement the daily program plan which may include, but is not limited to, arts and crafts, science experiments, gross/fine motor activities both indoors and outdoors, homework support, engaging and supporting students who attend Kindergarten through Grade 6, and serving as an outstanding role model.
