Job Description:
As a Project Manager/Installation Coordinator at SI Alarms Limited, you will play a vital role in delivering top-tier security solutions to our clients. You will be responsible for coordinating and managing multiple security systems projects, ensuring the creation of safer environments in critical institutions such as hospitals, schools, multi-family buildings, and industrial facilities. Your leadership will be instrumental in achieving client satisfaction, effective resource allocation, and the safe and timely completion of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate project specifications, drawings, and related documents to understand project objectives and establish comprehensive project schedules in coordination with the team while identifying critical installation timelines.
- Oversee the procurement of supplies and materials required for project completion, actively participating in project cost reviews to ensure financial efficiency.
- Assist in contracting third party subcontractors, coordinating their activities to align with the project scope, schedules, and fiscal requirements while ensuring adherence to safety regulations.
- Conduct orientations for project technicians, providing all necessary project documentation such as scope of work, technical drawings, project contacts, and application-engineered diagrams.
- Diligently track project resources and progress, documenting any events impacting the schedule, scope, and overall efficiency; identify and pursue opportunities for project-specific change orders.
- Manage project-specific billing coordination with the Accounting team, schedule commissioning resources, expedite the return of mark-ups for as-built development, and ensure the timely completion of project-specific close-out documentation.
- In collaboration with Sales, ensures timely contract renewal process is in place. Cultivates and maintains existing accounts and actively pursue new service and system expansion opportunities with existing service base and new clients.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
· Proven experience in project coordination or related roles. - Proficiency in using Visio, Workday, ServiceNow, SharePoint, and other project management tools.
· Strong data analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
· Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- 2+ years of project management experience within the commercial security industry or related and/or 5+ years of Project Management experience.
- Strong understanding of industry applications, drawings, specifications, and wiring diagrams.
- Knowledge of industry-standard security communication protocols.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with a positive attitude, providing exceptional customer support.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Qualified applicants must be legally authorized for employment in Canada.
- Must possess a valid driver's license with limited violations.

- Post Secondary Education an Asset
- Courses in project management an Asset
- Electrical/Electronic understanding an Asset
- Ability to read drawings
