Our client, Waycon Manufacturing Ltd. is an industrial equipment and machinery manufacturer located in Penticton, BC. They specialize in building a wide variety of world-class equipment and machinery for customers across multiple industries in North America. Situated on over 2 acres of land, their facility is equipped with the latest in-house state-of-the-art tooling, equipment and engineering technology to provide a wide variety of manufacturing capabilities including concept design, CNC machining, fabrication, welding, painting, and assembly to testing.
They are currently looking to add an experienced Material Handler to their team. As the ideal candidate, you will have previous experience in industrial yard maintenance and forklift operations experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment. You will take pride in your work and have strong attention to detail to be able to meet their standards in both safety and quality.
Job Duties:

Ensure safe and efficient delivery of production materials and supplies to work areas;

Operate forklifts, pallet jacks and other machinery to move materials around the yard and load materials on and off trucks;

Prepare finished products for shipping which will include sorting and packing into crates while utilizing appropriate packing materials and products;

Deliver and pick up materials;
-
Clean parts and work areas;
-
Ensure machines and work areas remain clean and tidy, in good working order;

Perform other duties as assigned/required.

1 year of material handling experience preferably in a warehouse or manufacturing environment;

1 year of labour experience;

Valid and clean driver’s license;

Valid and up to date forklift certificate;
- Experience creating a safe environment and high-quality standards in workmanship;

Self-motivated and ability to work effectively in team environment;

High attention to detail;

Professional communication skills;
-
Physically fit with the ability to frequently carry and lift heavy objects (50 lbs.).
