Our client in the Hospitality industry is looking for a passionate Sales Representative, Events to join their team. The full-time Sales Representative is responsible for handling day-to-day inside sales for the company’s main venues. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced work environment; enjoys working closely with clients to help visualize, solicit and sell the event. They are encouraged to use their experience to capture new business, while being extremely detail oriented and highly organized to manage a large volume of inquiries. This position will work closely with the sales team and report to the General Manager.
Key Responsibilities
· Answering client venue and event related questions and inquiries via phone, emails and in person
· Develop and maintain relationships with clients
· Identify and qualify new sales opportunities
· Follow up on leads and inquiries
· Coordinating and booking appointments
· Meeting with clients and providing tours for event spaces
Qualifications:
· 3+ years-experience in Corporate and/or Social sales for a venue or event space
· Excellent understanding of relevant computer applications (MS Office)
· Self-starter, professional, self-confident and excellent organizational skills
· Exceptional interpersonal skills to quickly build relationships and deliver results
· Solid written and verbal communication skills
· Attention to detail and able to multitask, managing high volume of inquiries
· Team player and able to work independently
· Knowledge of Food & Beverage and venue operations
· Passionate about excellent customer service, consistently following up and following through
· Flexible and agile in responding to changing priorities and emerging opportunities
