BHP’s Jansen Potash Project is located near Saskatoon, SK (approximately 140 kilometers East of Saskatoon), BHP’s first and most advanced potash project, and it will be the world’s largest potash mine once completed. Jansen Stage 1 is the first of four potential phases and includes an initial investment of CAD$7.5 billion. Once Jansen Stage 1 commences production in 2026, it will generate 4.35 megatons of potash every year.
Jardeg is currently recruiting for Journeyperson / Apprentice Carpenters at the BHP Jansen Potash Mine project on a 14/7 rotation.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Build and install concrete wall and foundation form work-
Install concrete tower shoring

Assist with general layout
-
Measure, mark, cut, shape and join various construction materials

Working with various power tools
-
Check accuracy of work and make adjustments as required

Study blueprints for work planning

Follow all site safety procedures and policies

Follow directions given by Foreman and Superintendent
Education/Experience:
-
3rd or 4th year apprentice carpenter

Journeyperson status OR registered apprentice OR an equivalent combination of experience, training and education

CSTS/SCOT

WHMIS

Fall Protection

AWP

Industrial experience is an asset
