IT works as a strategic partner with the business in developing IT solutions and related governance for use to meet on-going and future business needs. The group provides the infrastructure for automation and systems support to ensure all lines of business are afforded the functionality they require. In maintaining and launching business critical applications such as Oaken’s eBanking and ServiceNow, IT mitigates risk, improves efficiencies and increases Home Trust profits, while fostering a culture of respect, trust and integrity.
Position Responsibilities
1st level SAP support: Ticket resolution, testing (60%)
Monitors daily the ticket queue and drives the tickets of his/her area to completion
Interact with the business users in the relevant functional areas and understands their business processes, current pain points and the business requirements to provide proper analysis and issue resolution
Creation of Testing scripts and Unit testing (15%)
Collects, understands, and transmits the business requirements to the project team/Functional consultant
Facilitates the business acceptance test as agreed upon with the Business owners
Risk and Compliance (15%)
Ensure transactions, test and transports to production adhere to Home Trust Policy, Standards, and Guidelines
Ensure changes to the system and business solutions are appropriately risk rated
Maintain relevant documentation in compliance with regulatory guidelines including AMLTF legislation
Increase knowledge of risk management practices and techniques
Participate in the review of Audit results for IT group
Participate in Compliance action plans identified by Audit
Business Process and Training (5%)
Responsible for creating Business Blueprint documentation on early stages of the project
Analyses and documents business processes. Updates documents as required to keep them current
Documents workflows, results of business analysis and obtain sign-off from business on the business requirement documentation
Participates during training and/or Knowledge transfer sessions to backups and new people joining the team
Ensures the training documentation and business process flows are up to date
Support to non-SAP productive systems (5%)
Facilitates ongoing support for the productive system (i.e. SAP, Retail Credit etc) and is the bridge between the functional consultant, end user and QA teams
Formal Education
Post secondary degree or diploma required (University degree preferred) in Computer Science or equivalent
Certification(s)/Designation(s) preferred in related area
Related Experience
2-3 years related IT experience in an administrative and/or service capacity is preferred
1 year in Mortgage related industry is preferred
