Seeking dynamic hardworking & creative individual. Ideally we are looking for a cook/baker with a minimum of 2 years in back of house/cooking environments.
This is a part time position. We are looking to hire immediately!
Weekend availability is a requirement. The days will be Friday morning, Saturday morning, Sunday morning.
Applicants must be comfortable working independently.
You will be responsible for the preparation baked goods before the store opening. This includes the preparation of croissants, stuffing the croissants, preparing danishes, pastry cream, etc.
Once the pastries are ready and the cafe is open, you will be responsible for the preparation of all food items on the menu. This includes items such as sandwiches, wraps, salads, mousse, croffles, smoothies, etc.
You will be responsible for stocking, setting up and cleaning your stations throughout your shift. You will also be responsible for loading and unloading the dishwasher located in the kitchen area.
Strictly adhere to prep and/or plating guidelines.
Proper food handling skill and sanitation are critical.
General duties include:
-monitoring prep par levels and making daily prep to-do lists
-making all dessert/pastry prep items
-food preparation once pastry work is done
-vegetable and fruit prep (dicing, chopping, washing)
-Ensure food production is of high quality
-receiving deliveries and putting them away
-maintaining a clean and organized workspace, washing your dishes as you go
-Operate an industrial dishwasher, washing dishes and glassware by hand when necessary
-Unload dishes, silverware, and glassware promptly and store them in the appropriate places
Job Type: Part-time
Salary: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
