Our client, Waycon Manufacturing Ltd. is an industrial equipment and machinery manufacturer located in Penticton, BC. They specialize in building a wide variety of world-class equipment and machinery for customers across multiple industries in North America. Situated on over 2 acres of land, their facility is equipped with the latest in-house state-of-the-art tooling, equipment and engineering technology to provide a wide variety of manufacturing capabilities including concept design, CNC machining, fabrication, welding, painting, and assembly to testing.
They are currently looking to add an experienced Fabricator Welder to their team. Their welding fabrication capabilities consist of carbon, stainless steel, and aluminum. They have their CSA standard W47.1 fusion welding of steel and W47.2 fusion welding of aluminum and have a dedicated carbon and stainless steel department specializing in design, manufacturing and installation of a variety of industrial equipment and machinery.
As the successful candidate you have a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in fabrication, welding, and troubleshooting. You have strong dexterity, take pride in your work, and have great attention to detail to be able to meet high standards in both quality and safety.

Fabricate (including custom fabrication) and inspect finished parts for quality and blueprint accuracy;

Safely handle overhead cranes, cutting torch and other power tools;

Clean and organize work area daily;

Install and onsite work as required;

Perform other duties as assigned.

Journeyman metal fabricator with a minimum of 3 years previous experience;

Excellent metal finishing skills with high attention to detail;

Dedicated to holding high quality and safety standards in workmanship;

Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively in team environment;

Professional communication skills;

Strong problem-solving skills and resourcefulness;

Custom fabrication experience and the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics;

CWB certified in FCAW / SMAW and GMAW is a requirement.
