JOB DESCRIPTION
Duties:
- Develops, maintains or modifies digital standards libraries and project templates to be used
throughout the project lifecycle. Ensures the digital standards and data models meet the needs of
Engineering, Asset Management, and Operations to facilitate design, construction, and facility
maintenance. Configures the data models to enable reporting of project and asset information.
- Creates, maintains and implements the model environment structure and standards for new
projects. Ensures relationships between project model files are established. Creates a common
data environment, including processes and procedures, to enable information exchange between
internal and external project team members. Establishes and maintains user permissions
throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develops and customizes design software and supporting applications to support the integration
of various standards, tools and solutions. Writes software code in the various languages
supported in the design software and supporting applications based on user requests. Publishes
the software code in the model environment for users to access. Trains users on how to use the
software code.
- Participates in the development of design software and supporting applications by: providing
input as the business technical expert; developing requirements; validating deliverables; and
carrying out user acceptance testing to ensure the application meets functional and operational
requirements.
- Conducts training on model standards and workflows to internal and external designers.
Develops and maintains training materials, user manuals and work instructions. Provides
application troubleshooting support to model authors.
- Develops quality control procedures for project models. Conducts periodic quality compliance
checks to ensure project models meet project requirements. Monitors project model creation to
