As the HR Coordinator, you will play an important role in helping us reach our people objectives. Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the HR Coordinator will have accountability for providing first level support and coordination to the HR dept. in the areas of employee recognition, HRIS/ATS administration and reporting, Occupational Health and Safety, recruitment support, time and attendance, and general support to the HR dept. and various programs and initiatives. The HR Coordinator provides input and support to the Human Resources Manager and the HRBP in the general operations of the Human Resources department and helps to provide resolution and advice in the above noted areas to ensure profitable business operations.
We are looking for someone who enjoys being involved with many aspects of Human Resources and Safety and has a customer focused mindset. The right candidate will bring a blend of reporting, analytical and people focused mindset to our team. We need someone who enjoys building client and candidate relationships, can take initiative to solve HR problems and provide solution support.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Human Resources support in the areas of:
- Training/Learning and Development
- Talent Management
- Occupational Health and Safety
- Employee Relations and Recognition
- Compensation
- Employee Engagement
- Recruiting (job fairs, onboarding)
- Other ad hoc HR projects in support of local or corporate JDI initiatives along with Dept. reporting ownership

- The HR Coordinator will support our tactical and strategic objectives on a day by day, week by week basis. Due to our growth trajectory, the HR Coordinator must be skilled in supporting short term HR solutions through day-to-day service delivery, as well as make a longer-term impact on our talent strategy and programs.
We are a small HR team that wears many hats – often during the run of a day! If this role is for you, you must have a passion for Human Resources and customer service. You need to be adaptable, versatile, change oriented and not afraid to have the occasional tough conversation with someone!
It goes without saying that strong computer skills are required; specifically, proficiency in Excel and with an HRIS – ideally Oracle HCM – so that you can leverage your reporting and analytical abilities. Additionally, we are looking for someone with excellent business writing and grammar skills to help support our internal and external communications. To round out the profile, you are a detail-oriented professional, coupled with a demonstrated and proven sense of urgency and ability to balance shifting/multiple priorities without sacrificing deadlines.
Qualifications:
- College Diploma with a concentration in Human Resources or Business
- Combination of 1-2+ years of demonstrated experience in supporting at least one of the following areas of human resources:
- Occupational Health and Safety – A passion for this would go a long way!
- Employee relations
- Compensation
- Training and development
- Talent management
- Talent Acquisition/Recruiting
