Scope of this adventure includes successfully delivering enterprise-scale technical solutions on modern platforms in Cloud and on-prem, with a variety of system integration and patterns. As a Business Applications Analyst, you have a core understanding of the architecture and all technical aspects and layers of our applications stack. Applications Analyst
Canada and US (Remote)

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plans, coordinates, and conducts software and system testing in conjunction with application vendors and stakeholders.
- Maintain and support application services, with accountability for production reliability and usage, and the delivery of new functionality.
- Provide support in development of standards for use by internal staff and third-party strategic vendors.
- Understand business requirements and translate them into system and application design that is aligned with organizational technology roadmap.
- Design and document technical functionality, infrastructure, interfaces, and integrations.
- Perform initial problem analysis and troubleshooting on problems or situations of a simple to complex nature.
- Ensure compliance by third party partners on change management process as needed through testing, development, or deployment tasks.
- Define and coordinate software installation and small development project plans, including estimates, scope, schedule, and implementation plans.
- Lead, coordinate, and execute system support activities for a global portfolio of applications in compliance with defined SLAs.
- Assess application environment for opportunities for operational improvement and standardization.
- Prepare reports, manuals and other documentation on the status, operation, and maintenance for the application portfolio.
- Lead planning and execution of changes for business applications environments.
- Collaborate with analysts, engineers, and system owners globally in the deployment of software programs and applications.
- Execute best practices in incident investigation, technical escalation, diagnosis, recovery, documentation, communication, and transition to Problem Management.
- Support development of maintenance strategies for the application portfolio.
- Contribute to technology roadmaps that are aligned with the organization’s vision, strategy, and business objectives.
- Demonstrate knowledge of best practice processes for onboarding of new technologies and solutions into the application portfolio.
- Conduct peer code reviews to ensure compliance with development standards.
- Provide rotation based on-call support to cross functional teams and users.
- Act as subject matter expert in the assessment of impacts for planned application changes and projects, ensuring compliance with relevant organization standards.
- Provide solutions to prevent recurrence with the end goal of ensuring solid C-SAT.
- Ensure application stability through incident, change and problem management.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
- Degree or diploma in Information Technology including industry specific technical certifications.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience including involvement with modernization initiatives, production support using technologies/frameworks such as DevOps.
- This position requires knowledge of Cloud Platforms such as MS Azure including experience using collaboration tools and version control tools such as GitHub/GitLab.
- Demonstrated experience with business applications support in an enterprise environment.
- Knowledge with scripting using SQL, .Net, C#, ASP.Net, and/or HTML would be considered an asset.
- Expert knowledge of ITIL and SDLC processes and practices.
- Proficient in corrective and preventive maintenance, configuration management and application performance standards implementation.
- Previous experience developing and maintaining key test scripts to validate changes, enhancements, and business continuity requirements for business applications.
- Experience working with managed service providers, cloud services and hosted solutions.
- Exhibits strong initiative; self-starter that can lead others in ambiguous situations.
