Position: Delivery Driver
Starting at $25.00/hr
Scope of the Position:
Delivery Driver has a key role in ensuring that customer's orders are delivered in an efficient manner. This position includes the lifting and carrying of materials over 50 lbs. The associate will be responsible for making deliveries to customers in a timely fashion.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Drive the truck with or without the trailer to deliver metal products to customers
- Complete paperwork and reports, as necessary, relating to shipping orders, returns, daily vehicle inspections and driver logs
- Other miscellaneous tasks as directed by supervisors
Education and Skills:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Class 1 Driver’s License with air brake endorsement
- Clean driver’s abstract
- Results Orientated
- Effective written & verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment with minimal supervision
- Ability to work outside in varying weather conditions
- Flexibility with work schedule as start and end times may vary
- Positive attitude & good work ethic
- Punctual & Reliable
- Bilingualism is an asset
Experience:
- Prior experience driving is an asset
