We are looking for an Instrumentation Technologist, Robotized Manufacturing and Aerial Robotics Projects, Aerospace Manufacturing Technologies Centre (AMTC) to support our Aerospace Research Centre. The Instrumentation Technologist, AMTC’s Robotized Manufacturing and Aerial Robotics Projects, would be someone who shares our core values of Integrity, Excellence, Respect and Creativity.
Working as an Instrumentation Technologist, you will provide Facility support for research and technology development projects within AMTC’s Automation, Robotics & Intelligent Manufacturing Systems team. You will design and assemble control cabinets for mechatronic prototypes. You will fabricate and install electric, electronic and occasionally pneumatic systems required for the team’s projects, and will be required to: design, manufacture, integrate and commission instrumentation systems and control cabinets, purchase components, perform instrument calibrations, maintain and troubleshoot the team’s research facilities and control systems and participate in supporting the experimental and operational testing needs of the team. You will be expected to maintain knowledge of current instrumentation system technology and instrumentation trends, including Fieldbus communication technologies, sensor installation methodology, cabling and wiring and maintenance best practices.
