We are currently seeking competent individuals to fill the role of Technical Analyst on our dynamic team for our client, one of the big five banks
Location Address: Fully remote
Contract Duration: 6 months
Scheduled Hours: Rotation shifts - AM Shift (7am-3pm) & PM Shift (11am-7pm) - After hour/weekend pager support required
Responsibilities
- Provides wide ranging system administration in a multi-platform environment
- Responsible for general systems administration tasks including system configuration management, OS installations, security updates, urgent system patching
- Strong Solaris/RHEL Administration, IBM MQ Administration skill
- Strong middleware (IBM websphere application server, weblogic, Tomcat, JBOSS and Apache) Administration skill
- Writes and implements scripts/ansible playbook /Tower/salt to automate tasks
- Ability to identify and troubleshoot software/application components that are problematic
- Performs daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, network disruption awareness and predefined key processes
- Reviews system logs, application logs and security logs
- Work on rotate AM, PM shift and carry pager for after hour support
Candidate Requirements/Must-Have skills:
1. 5-7+ years of working experience as a Technical Analyst
2. 3+ years recent and hands-on experience with Solaris
3. 3+ years recent and hands-on experience with Linux
4. 3+ years recent and hands-on experience with Middleware: Tomcat, Weblogic and IBM Websphere Application Server admin
5. UNIX Shell/Automation Experience on SSL certificate renewal and connection configuration
Nice-To-Have Skills:
- Ansible playbook experience preferred
- IBM MQ admin experience preferred
- JBoss and Apache experience
- Python scripting
- ServiceNow experience

- Excellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skills to be able to work well with technical peers and business stakeholders at different levels within the organization.
- Strong decision making, forward thinking and creative problem-solving skills to anticipate and respond quickly to technological/market influences.

Education:
- Post-secondary degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related IT field required
