ISO of an ECE Unicorn director!
We are seeking an experienced ELC director/manager for our magical little program in beautiful Pemberton, B.C. As we are a small center with one class and a maximum of 23 children/day, the director would also be on the floor for a maximum of 6 hours/day.
Salary is comensurate with education and experience and the hourly wage is inclusive of the gvt wage enhancement.
Why do I equate a Director for The Nest to a unicorn? Well they are both rare and elusive creatures The Director would be someone who is a mentor, a collaborator, an implementor and someone who exudes calm and positivity. They would be someone who deeply resonates with my vision for The Nest and who is happy to have an owner come and play, but also feels comfortable taking the reigns so I can go and be with my other schools in Japan for stretches of time. They would complement my weaknesses with bookkeeping, administration and dealing with the gvt (granted nobody likes dealing with childcare paperwork, but anybody has to be better at it than me) They would be organized and efficient while also being able to be present and centered with students, parents and teachers with so much going on.
They would have experience working with CCRR, be gentle and sensitive in helping parents navigate challenges and working with SLP's OT's PT's and making sure that we are implementing strategies for challenging behaviours and neurodiversity with integrity and compassion.
They would be open to big dreams and shooting for the stars and fully believe that our students and families are worth the extra sprinkle of moondust that we put on everything.
Now can you see why this is such a quest? I will continue to search and seek until the right person walks through our doors and is able and ready to share their experience, knowledge and leadership with our wonderful team!
If you feel that I was describing you.(or parts of you).... Let's have a coffee.
