We are looking for an experienced Paint Prepper to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong knowledge of automotive repair, painting, and body work. The duties include but not limited to sanding, blocking, masking, cleaning, taping, priming vehicles (parts) and keeping Paint Technicians aware of work progress. They will prepare the vehicles such that the Paint Technician will only lay paint. They must also be able to work independently and efficiently while adhering to safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare vehicles and parts for paint using proper techniques, equipment and materials.
- Remove grease, dirt, paint, or rust from vehicle surfaces.
- Apply masking plastic and tape to protect non painted surfaces.
- Be able to make small repairs
- May assist Paint Technician with blending as needed.
- Maintain all tools and equipment, keep workspace clean & organized.
- May help with cleaning & maintaining paint equipment and booths.
- Assist where possible in other areas when needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $21.00-$28.00 per hour
