Details: This position will be directly involved in the care, supervision, counseling and support of 5 youth ages 12-17, who have developmental disabilities, mental health disorders and complex behaviors. These youth have experienced significant trauma with attachment and placement breakdowns and the ideal candidate will provide compassionate and unconditional care and acceptance for the youth. This home is structured to create a high level of routine, predictability and safety for the youth.
Hours: Sunday to Thursday; awake hours from 11:00pm-7:00am per shift; total of 40 awake hours per week

In your role you will:
¨ Connect with and develop helping relationships with youth
¨ Support and offer guidance to youth
¨ Supervise youth in the home
¨ Complete documentation
¨ Perform administrative and cleaning duties relating to the operation of the home
¨ Participate in on-going program development
As one of the ideal candidates, you possess:
¨ Partial completion of a Degree/Diploma in Human Services
¨ Six (6) months of directly related experience in youth/family work
¨ Equivalencies may be considered
¨ Standard First Aid-Level C CPR + AED
¨ Police Information Check; including the Vulnerable Persons Sector Check (from within the last 6 months)
¨ Children Services Intervention Record Check (from within the last 6 months)
¨ Valid Class 5 drivers license, current drivers abstract, a reliable vehicle and auto insurance are required
¨ Strong communication and relationship building skills
¨ Naloxone training and addiction support experience
¨ Ability to deal with complex high needs
¨ Strong organizational skills
¨ CARE (Children And Residential Experiences) training is an asset
¨ Desire to see youth succeed
Starting Rate of Pay: $24.65-$27.74 per hour; depending on experience and education
