People Corporation is seeking a Training Manager that has experience in building capabilities within large-scale change environments. This role is an integral part of the Change Management Office. The Training Manager is responsible for implementing training processes, training systems, developing strategic and operational training plans, and measuring the effectiveness of training content and delivery within people, process, and technology initiatives. This role involves leading a high performing matrix team of training specialists, instructional designers, and training facilitators.
- Design and manage training strategy and plans at an enterprise, program, and initiative level.
- Lead the design and implementation of best-in-class training solutions and techniques that include online learning, facilitator lead, and gamification solutions.
- Design, implement, and manage the quality assurance program and ensure that all training materials are developed, and all programs delivered exceed the target level.
- Ensure all facilitators have the required skills, knowledge, and confidence to facilitate blended training sessions.
- Drive the training needs analysis and training plan at an enterprise and program level.
- Review and approve training content and delivery approaches.
- Identify and allocate instructional designers and trainers to achieve effective and efficient quality delivery and utilization.
- Strategic and operational design and implementation of training processes, training systems, and training metrics.
- Analyze and identify trends and opportunities and report on training effectiveness.
- Create and implement governance and reporting to drive and embed end-user adoption and sustainability of the new ways of working.
- Manage costs associated to all training solutions, productions, and publications to achieve return on investment.
- University or College education in Human Resources, Adult Learning, or related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of training and/or instructional design experience. APTD/CPTD desired.
- Minimum of 5 years leading matrix high performing teams.
- In-depth knowledge of instructional design principles, adult learning theories, and training methodologies.
- Excellent facilitation and presentation skills with the ability to engage and inspire learners.
- Strong project management, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in training and development.
- Extensive experience with tracking, measuring, and reporting the effectiveness of training, focusing on adoption, proficiency, and performance.
- Ability to work to a high standard in a fast-paced environment, while managing multiple initiatives and stakeholders simultaneously, and focusing on the employee and customer experience.
- Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.
- Insurance industry experience an asset.
