The Jr. Network Administrator is primarily responsible for supporting the Systems Architect and Network Administrator. The position is responsible for account maintenance, end-point device management, and second-level IT support. Daily communication with IT team members is essential. The establishment of a collegial and cooperative working relationship within the IT department and among faculty and staff is necessary to ensure that our IT services fulfill the educational and business needs of the school.
The Jr. Network Administrator is also responsible for assisting the Systems Architect and Network Administrator in maintaining the entire campus network of 950+ users and another 1,500 end-point devices. The position will be called upon to assist with IT support at St. Anne’s School. Regular communication with the Director of IT, the Network Services Team, faculty, staff, and students is essential to ensure the network is serving the needs of the community.
Candidates are required to hold a post-secondary degree or diploma, and certification and proficiency with the latest MS Windows desktop operating systems. We seek candidates with three years of experience supporting users and computers in an MS Windows environment setting up laptops and desktops, building images, installing applications, setting up printers and other peripherals, and resolving software issues. Assets include Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate in the latest Windows Server OS (MCSA) and experience with several aspects of modern network infrastructure: switches, hubs, Wi-Fi AP, CAT 5/6 cabling, fibre cabling, firewalls, spam filters, and network servers.
This position is full-time at 40 hours per week and requires the successful candidate to provide a satisfactory vulnerable sector screening.
