We are looking for a Surgical Blades and Scalpels Sales Representative - a crucial role in driving sales growth and market expansion across the United States. Your primary responsibilities will include developing distributor-level channel strategies, establishing and nurturing relationships with key decision-makers, and expanding our presence in national accounts, GPOs, government agencies, and VA healthcare facilities. This position is remote-based in the USA, reporting to our home office location in Ontario, Canada.
What You Will Do
- 1. Distributor-Level Channel Strategies
- Develop and execute comprehensive distributor-level channel strategies to maximize market penetration and sales revenue.
- Identify and evaluate potential distributors and partners to expand our product reach.
- Collaborate with distributors to ensure effective product placement and sales strategies.
- National Account Development
- Build and maintain relationships with national accounts, including GPOs, government agencies, and VA healthcare facilities.
- Understand the unique needs and requirements of national accounts and tailor sales approaches accordingly.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing agreements, and service-level agreements to secure business.
- Achieve and exceed sales targets for surgical blades and scalpels within the assigned territory.
- Develop and implement sales plans, strategies, and tactics to drive revenue growth.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand our customer base.
- Market Analysis and Reporting
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, competitive threats, and opportunities.
- Provide regular sales reports, forecasts, and updates to the sales management team.
- Use data and insights to make informed decisions and adjustments to sales strategies.
What We Need
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven track record of successful sales in the healthcare or medical device industry.
- Experience working with distributors and national accounts, especially within the healthcare sector.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and remotely while maintaining a high level of self-motivation.
- Willingness to travel within the assigned territory as needed.
- Knowledge of surgical blades and scalpels is a plus but not required.
