Position Details
This position must provide lifeguarding services at our facility throughout the summer. Hours may include days, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Specific skills

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Enforce pool and safety regulations as posted
- Perform pool cleaning duties when necessary
- Perform maintenance duties and accurately record these duties as required, and perform all pool opening and/or closing duties as assigned
- Ensures and maintains a safe and clean swimming pool
- Assists in maintaining all facets of the pool area are clean and tidy (including landscaping, washrooms the swimming pool, and the swimming equipment).
- Assists in maintaining appropriate pool chemical levels at all times.
- Ensures all pool equipment is working in a satisfactory manner.
- Aids Cabana attendant in maintaining a clean cabana area including changing rooms, wet area, and washrooms.
- Ensures and maintains a safe and clean swimming pool
- Assists in maintaining appropriate pool chemical levels at all times.
- Ensures all pool equipment is working in a satisfactory manner.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Possess a current National Lifeguard Service(NLS) Certificate, Standard First Aid and Water Safety Instructor certification First Aid Certificate; CPR Certificate.
- Must enjoy working with people of all ages and have good interpersonal skills
- Work co-operatively with co-worker team
- Must be safety conscious and dependable
- Must offer flexibility in scheduling to meet operational needs
Administration
- Reports all activity to the Head Guard.
- Communicates with the head lifeguard/Property Manager/Maintenance manager on any mechanical and sanitary problems concerning the pool area immediately as they occur.
- Promptly and efficiently complete incident reports as accidents occur and present them to Head Guard/ Property Manager.
- Assists Head Guard with work schedules when necessary.
