Programmer Analyst

We are seeking a highly motivated and energetic individual who enjoys utilizing information technology to enhance business processes, likes working with people and has a strong focus on delivering business solutions that add value for the corporation. Information Technology is a rapidly changing environment and you must be willing to continuously enhance your technical skills.
As a Programmer Analyst, you will be responsible for designing, writing, testing and documenting new computer software as well as modifying and supporting existing software systems. You will work with internal clients on the investigation and analysis of system enhancement requests and assist clients in the use and application of software and troubleshoot reported issues.
Hydro's IT infrastructure includes a Microsoft environment, IBM Lotus Notes, IBM iSeries, web based development, mobile device application development, and business intelligence solutions. Experience developing in Microsoft Power Apps and supporting an Oracle JDE EnterpriseOne ERP system, SQL, Cognos TM1, Essbase and other budgeting and forecasting and customer service software are considered an asset for this position.
You are responsible for your personal safety and that of co-workers by observing and promoting the company's Safety and Health Program and responsible for any environmental aspects of the job and performing work in an environmentally responsible manner.
You must have a university degree in a quantitative discipline (ie: Computer Studies) or an equivalent combination of education and training, supplemented with a minimum of three years of experience in computer system design, development, implementation, enhancement, training and support. You must also be able to work as part of a team, show initiative and innovation, as well as the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
