Job Description
The role reports into the Director, BPO and involves a variety of activities including the preparation of performance and statistical reporting, review of regulatory and NAV files prepared by third party administrators, and the use of various Investment Manager tools for enhanced investor reporting. The role plugs directly into the Investment Manager system framework, and provides an excellent opportunity to gain appreciation of back office activity from the Investment Manager’s perspective

Produce and review monthly Investment Manager reports for distribution to potential and current investors

Produce and review other valuation and performance reporting as required, and make available to the intended audience

Ensure that valuation and performance data is loaded to internal systems

Review administrator NAV calculations for accuracy and completeness, and liaise with the administrator to ensure any issues are resolved

Review custodian reconciliations on a regular basis, and ensure breaks are resolved promptly

Ensure that management and performance fees receivable are reported accurately and on time

Review annual financial statements, and ensure that published statements are made available to investors

Produce other ad hoc reporting as required to fulfil both internal and external requirements

Suggest and work on initiatives to streamline internal processes, both to mitigate risk and enhance process efficiency

Rigorously follow internal control processes

Train new team members (in person or remotely) on existing as well as new processes

Maintain and update process documentation
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with demonstrable experience in fund accounting who is interested in broadening their skill set in a Business Process Outsourcing role. Strong communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office are important as well as an understanding of accounting concepts.
