Position Description
Title: Industrial Mechanic (Millwright)
Position Purpose: The Industrial Mechanic assists in the production process by performing regular maintenance and repairs on machinery and mechanical equipment. The Industrial Mechanic is also the go-to person for issues with production lines, equipment, and other machines.
Principle Accountabilities

Install and rearrange complex equipment

Diagnose complex equipment failures

Dismantle, repair and reassemble complex equipment

Skill areas such as fabrication, assembly, welding, burning, cutting and pipe fitting, along with occasional work in other trades, i.e. electrical, carpentry, rigging
-
Direct work to helpers as required

Working with Compressors, HVAC, Pneumatic and Hydraulic equipment as required
-
Related tasks as requested by the supervisor
Essential Skills and Experience
-
A minimum Certificate of Completion-Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Apprenticeship is required. Interprovincial Qualification (Red Seal) is preferred

A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment is required;
-
Compressor, HVAC, Pneumatic and Hydraulic troubleshooting experience is an asset

Manufacturing fabrication experience;

Problem-solving and critical thinking skills;
