As the successful candidate you will have a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, with course work in Human Resources and/or Organizational Management, and two (2) years related experience including roles where principal activities were in HR or payroll data and/or systems management is required, or an acceptable equivalent in education and experience.
Your previous experience as a power user with SAP Human Capital Management modules OM and PA is required, experience with an equivalent Enterprise Resource Planning system such as PeopleSoft or JD Edwards may be considered. Other assets include power user experience with related enterprise portals (such as the SAP portal), the SAP Time and Payroll modules, and the SAP Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) module.
As well you will have experience in the start-up and development of new roles and functions, and effectively contributing to work and project groups.
Your database skills in the creation and enhancement of database systems, ad hoc data report creation and generation is required. Experience may be either as an end-user overseeing the creation or enhancement of a database, or as the database technical expert directly ‘programming’ the database for the use of others.
The proficiency you have developed with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook (or other email system) is required.
Familiarity with organizational structures and related processes such as position establishment, job classification, and reporting relationships is an asset.
Understanding of provisions related to Organizational Management of the NS Public Service legislation, policies, and collective agreements is an asset.
