Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Talent Acquisition Manager to lead our passionate team of Talent Acquisition Partners and Coordinators, all of whom are based in the Houston, TX (US) and Toronto, ON (Canada) areas. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end talent acquisition process for both corporate and agent roles, including large hiring classes of sales and customer service representatives. Your leadership will drive the development and execution of effective hiring strategies, ensuring the acquisition of top-tier talent that aligns with our company's goals and values. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Human Resources, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our workforce and contributing to our continued success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a diverse team of Talent Acquisition Partners and Coordinators, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Develop, refine, and implement talent acquisition strategies and initiatives to attract, assess, and hire exceptional candidates for corporate and agent roles in the US and Canada.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including department leaders, to understand hiring needs, workforce planning, and talent requirements, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Establish and monitor key metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of talent acquisition efforts, providing regular reports and insights to leadership.
- Design and implement standardized recruitment processes, procedures, and tools to streamline operations and enhance the candidate experience.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and continuous improvement within the talent acquisition function, driving operational efficiency and excellence.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in talent acquisition, incorporating innovative approaches to attract and engage top talent.
- Develop creative and compelling employment attraction strategies, leveraging digital platforms, social media, and other relevant channels to enhance our employer brand.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Communications teams to ensure consistent messaging and branding throughout the candidate journey.
- Collaborate with external partners, agencies, and vendors as needed to support recruitment efforts.
- Provide guidance and support to team members in candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selection processes.
- Oversee the management of candidate pipelines, applicant tracking systems, and recruitment-related databases.
- Coach and develop team members, fostering their professional growth and advancement within the organization.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 8-10 years of progressive experience in talent acquisition, with experience in both high-volume and Corporate recruitment and talent sourcing.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of demonstrated leadership experience in talent acquisition, managing teams of recruitment professionals.
- Proven track record of successfully attracting and hiring top-tier candidates for a range of roles from hourly to executive level.
- Strong knowledge of talent acquisition strategies, techniques, and best practices, particularly within the energy industry or related sectors.
- Experience developing and implementing recruitment metrics, analyzing data, and using insights to drive decision-making.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Innovative thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to adapt to changing business needs.
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment-related software.
- Professional certification in HR or Talent Acquisition (e.g., SHRM-SCP, PHR, TALR) is a plus.
Reporting and Supervision:
The Talent Acquisition Manager will report directly to the Senior Vice President of Human Resources and will oversee a team of Talent Acquisition Partners and Coordinators in the US and Canada.
