Reporting to the Manager, Student Recruitment - Canadian Markets, in collaboration with their direct reports and the leadership team, the incumbent leads the planning & development, execution and follow-up activities related to facilitating On Campus and Online Engagement for domestic and international prospective students and their supports as well as for professional influencers. The incumbent ensures the strategies are aligned and support Sheridan's business goals and the overall Recruitment plan.
The incumbent will lead a team of Student Recruitment Professionals and will support the effective collaboration with colleagues from other departments such as Admissions, Marketing/Communications, Facilities, Information Technology as well as various Faculties to ensure that all event marketing enhances brand awareness and drives such the department forward. The incumbent will also be responsible to developing the team to monitor and optimize key metrics such as lead-generation and engagement indicators, in order to positively impact application and conversion rates and to strategically leverage activity to help meet enrolment goals and maximize Sheridan's return on investment (ROI).
What You’ll be Doing
Providing leadership to the team of on campus professionals to support the development of events designed to engage and influence both prospective students from both domestic and international markets to consider Sheridan and to help the institution meet it's enrolment goals. Additionally, the incumbent will collaborate with the domestic and international Outreach and Market Development teams to facilitate on campus and online activities such as conferences, forums, and group experiences as well as virtual events to build stronger affinity with external partner organizations.
Leading activities using Salesforce automation tools to track prospect leads, develop contact management strategies, and to measure the effectiveness of recruiting activities. This includes reviewing post-show metrics on a regular basis and works to implement continuous improvement and efficiencies with the team. Leverages campaign performance data and audience insights to create strategic recommendations that will deliver on KPIs.
Managing and executing various external events, develops critical paths, negotiates quotes and contracts with vendors, and establishes and monitors event timelines and project budgets under their purview from a multi-campus perspective.
Ensuring a high level of performance through effective recruitment, hiring, training, monitoring and evaluation of all full time/permanent part-time/contract staff involved in college recruitment activity and entry advising. Will also support the development of a centralized student staffing plan to support both on campus and online.
Plans and implements team meetings for direct reports based at multiple campuses or working remotely. Provides follow-up communication to ensure clarity.
Collaborating with the team to develops tools, surveys, guides, marketing materials, trainings, policies, and procedures necessary for program implementation. Ensure that all deliverables meet corporate brand guidelines.

The successful applicant will also possess the following qualifications:
Must possess a minimum 4-year Bachelor degree or a 3-year degree with a post graduate certificate in Business, Marketing, Event Marketing or Sales
Experience working with corporate event planning is desired
Event Management certification is desired
Must possess experience working with a CRM and leveraging data for optimizing event activity
Must have a demonstrated track record and experience developing and managing multi-faceted in person and online events and evaluating metrics and actioning change.
