Job Purpose and Impact
The Dairy Sales Consultant will participate in face to face and remote selling to the company's new and existing customers in Eastern Ontario territory, selling directly or indirectly through various sales channels. In this role, you will help assess customer needs and suggest appropriate products, services and solutions. Key Accountabilities
Development and delivery dairy sales proposals and conducting detailed presentations for effective product demonstration.
Build a business plan for each dairy account developing strong client relationships.
Setting appointments with clients to provide nutritional solutions about animal nutrition, for dairy cows.
Plan daily activities, including customer visits and establish quantitative and qualitative objectives to achieve.
Follow market and competition evolution, relaying information to senior staff.
Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Diploma/Certificate or bachelor’s degree in a related field (agriculture or animal nutrition)
Minimum of two years of related work experience
Possess a valid Canadian Full Class 5 Driver’s Licence in good standing, authorizing you to drive independently (a personal vehicle is required) during the course of your employment.
Dairy sales experience, working with dairy producers and farmers
Able to work from home and travel within Eastern Ontario territory
Must be fluently in English
Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada
Preferred Qualifications
Strong agriculture background
Knowledge of animal nutrition
