ERP Business Analyst – Intermediate
The ERP Business Analyst (BA) will have 3-5 years’ solid experience working on ERP projects as a BA. The role involves working with a range of highly knowledgeable stakeholders (internal and external teams) to elicit requirements, analyze processes, and produce documentation, for an improved ERP application and operational effectiveness.
The BA will be expected to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and deliver high quality written products, on time and within budget.
The successful candidate will be an accomplished self-starter with exceptional interpersonal communication skills (verbal, presentation, written), and who possess a very strong capability to facilitate collaborative business decisions amongst business and IT stakeholders. Must be extremely adept with quickly organizing information from multiple sources, and rapidly producing succinct and accurate business documentation using predetermined methods and templates.
Job Duties
- Gather and analyze requirements in a logical manner that flows from higher to lower levels of detail
- Document as-is business processes and optimize to-be business processes to enable the business to simplify tasks, leverage technology and increase standardization
- Document end-to-end processes, including analysis of impacts to downstream operational and financial capabilities
- Complete and/or support different types of testing activities to ensure that solutions meet stipulated requirements
- Compile business cases, change requests and decision requests that clearly articulate problems, solution options, risks, stakeholder impacts and recommendations
- Facilitate stakeholder meetings to ensure all perspectives are obtained and outcomes are achieved
- Liaise with stakeholders of at all levels of the organization, including executives, directors, managers, subject matter experts, external parties and technical experts
- Ensure dependencies are understood, addressed, and requirements are correctly communicated and recorded using documents such as Business Requirements, Functional and Non-Functional Requirements, Data Requirements, Business Scenarios and Use Cases, Requirements Traceability Matrix, Functional Specifications, and User Interface Specifications
- Report to the ERP Project Manager with responsibilities to the PMO, IT Director and key stakeholders
- Support change management initiatives that may stem from changed/ new processes

- Understand the product audience and the problems the product is trying to solve and clearly communicate that knowledge with the rest of the organization
- Able to quickly create high quality requirements artifacts such as user stories, use cases, flow diagrams and functional specifications based on the understanding of problem space and at a depth of detail that matches the company’s needs
- Effectively present and communicate the requirements artifacts to key stakeholders and developers to ensure consensus and understanding of the problem scope and proposed business solution
- Able to establish and ensure acceptance criteria is met for user stories with enough details so that developers and designers are not blocked, but still be ready to fill in missing details as required
- Understand business, technology, and process in the context in which the product delivers value to the customer
- Be able to clearly communicate the value proposition of feature requests, both in written form and verbally
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field, such as Computer Science, Business or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of experience in the ERP Business Analyst role
- Certification preferred: CBAP, Six Sigma, PMP, IIBA (International Institute of Business Analysis)
- Ability to analyze problems and situations, and their impacts to business operations and the customer
- Understanding of the Systems Development Life Cycle and project management methodology
- Understanding of data mapping and ETL process
- Proven ability to support and facilitate workshops and problem-solving sessions with a variety of stakeholders
- Experience leading or conducting user acceptance activities
- Professional services experience preferred, but not required
- Proven ability to communicate clearly and professionally to a variety of audiences

Salary: $65K to $85K
