CNC Machinist - Evening Shift
Reporting to the Subtractive Manufacturing Manager, the CNC Machinist is Responsible for CNC set up and operation, program editing including:
- Machine set up and operation per setup instructions;

Machine maintenance and recordkeeping;

Maintain all cutting tool libraries / develop tool life;

Manual tasks by assignment;

Manual AM support removal and detailing;

In-process and final inspections by assignment;

Interpretation of drawings, manuals, specifications, etc;

Shop-floor programming and program editing by assignment;

Fabricate simple fixtures and work holding devises to support machining operations;

Shop cleanliness and organization;

Conform to all quality, safety, and human resource policies and procedures;
Qualifications:

Grade 12 diploma or equivalent;

1-year college diploma or equivalent in related field;

Advanced training with CAD software (Siemens NX or equivalent);

Ability to set up and operate various CNC equipment (3 &5 axis milling machines, lathes, EDM);

Proficiency in mathematics, measuring tools, power tools, and finishing methods;

Familiarity with 5S;

Minimum 2 years experience with 2 and 3 axis CNC operation in a manufacturing environment;

Able to work in a fast-paced work environment while being detail-oriented;

Excellent people and communication skills;

Understanding of G code and the ability to debug output;

Able to lift up to 60 lbs and perform physically demanding work;
Evening shift is from 4:00pm to 12:30am Monday to Friday with availability required for some weekends as needed. Training for this role is provided during our day shift for approximately 2-3 weeks prior to moving to the evening shift.
