Job Description
Reporting to:

Key Accountabilities
Work directly with all hiring managers and supervisors in the recruitment of personnel throughout both divisions of NCS International Co., including Noramco, National Cable Specialists and Trans-Canada Electro (80%):

Ensure a thorough understanding of each posted role and know the critical soft skills important for success;

Administer the posting of roles on various job boards;
-
Thoroughly screen all applicants, ensuring only the most highly qualified candidates are referred to the appropriate hiring manager;

Administer reference checking
-
Assist the hiring manager in Offer Letter process, if necessary;
-
Play a role in onboarding all new hires, ensuring all necessary company policies, procedures, and start-up documentation is provided.
Work Directly with the Director of HR to administrate tasks and special projects for documentation management (20%):

Duties
-
Ensure all job functions are performed in accordance with the Guillevin Standard Practice Instruction (SPI) Manual;

Be the primary recruiter for all business centres:
-
Ensure a thorough understanding of the soft-skills required to fill specific requirements for each position;
-
Develop an intimate understanding of each department’s culture so that your recommended candidates are a suitable match;
-
Manage all job profiles and posts on various job boards;
-
Make recommendations by market to utilize the most effective job boards;
-
Recommend participation in job fairs when appropriate;
-
Provide a short list of vetted candidates for every position to the hiring manager;
-
Manage the library of all NCS International Co.’s job descriptions, ensuring they stay current and are consistent throughout the organization;
-
When modifications are made to accommodate business centre nuances, ensure you are made aware and consider updating the original;
-
Assist hiring managers in the utilization of job descriptions for performance management purposes;
-
When job functions change due to technology or procedural changes, ensure the data base is kept current and the updated job description is reviewed with the employee at their next performance review;

Manage the data base of job profiles in PLUM;

Ensure these profiles stay accurate and reflect the actual requirements of the candidate of each posted position each time the position is posted;

Consider nuances between various operations;

Work with hiring managers and supervisors to identify, attract, develop, motivate and retain outstanding employees;

Assist managers and supervisors in the establishment of specific performance metrices, ensure they are communicated regularly, and that success is acknowledged or challenges addressed;
-
Ensure successful handoff of the on-boarding process with managers and supervisors;
-
Monitor job-related social media sites for candidates proactively and passively searching for new career opportunities and communicate timely with Senior Management;
-
Behave in an ethical and professional manner reflecting the values of the Company;
-
Performs any other duties as required by management.
Qualifications
-
CHRP Designation or working towards
-
Minimum 2 years recruitment experience
-
Excellent knowledge of social media
-
Previous experience in Workday, Plum, applicant tracking as asset
-
Ability to conduct various types of interviews (in person, online, phone)

Knowledge of HR databases and candidate management systems
-
Typing skills minimum 35 WPM
-
Bilingualism (French/English) required

Ability to multitask and prioritize
-
Strong verbal and written communication skills
-
Ability to work independently and with a team
