Currently we need assistance with a job in the Winnipeg area. This is open to contract work with the right experience and insurance.
Health & Safety Consultant
Location: Winnipeg, Canada
Duration: Full-time position temporary contact 4-5 months with potential full time afterwards for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the delivery of an on-site safety program
- Manage on-site safety program for clients
- Assist in Health and Safety related contractor compliance procedures
- Perform Client workplace compliance inspections, write reports and follow up
- Workplace Safety Management – program execution and management
- Minor Accident and Incident Investigation
- Assist in Health and Safety related contractor compliance procedures
- Conduct Contractor site orientations and verifications
- Conduct Health and Safety audit programs
- Provide coverage for emergency and on-call occurrences
Key Attributes
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
- Strong safety background and able to lead a program.
- Computer skills, and proficiently is Microsoft Word, Excel.
- Strong leadership skills able to speak and lead small groups and participate in management meetings
- Ability to effectively and professionally engage with clients, supervisors and workers
- Must be organized with proven analytical, problem-solving and decision making skills
- Effective time management
- Positive attitude and approach to health and safety
Qualifications
- Only apply if you have 5 years experience in safety, construction and project site safety
- Experience with contractor compliance systems
- Solid understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and related regulations
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
- Valid Driver's Licence and vehicle required
- A certificate or diploma in an accredited health and safety program is an asset
- NCSO, CRSP Certificate if available however not required for the right candidate
