We are seeking experienced A/V and home automation installers to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of experience working in high-end residential properties, with strong knowledge of wiring new construction homes and installing various home automation systems. As a Home Automation Install Technician, your responsibilities will include installing speakers, lighting keypads, equipment racks, home theaters, security systems, and automation systems for both residential and commercial applications.
Responsibilities:
- Install security and automation systems for residential and commercial clients, including low voltage cabling, intercoms, security cameras, card access control, alarm systems, lighting controls, audio/video systems, low voltage cabling, and networking.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, software/systems, programs, schematics, and operation/product manuals to ensure accurate installation and integration of systems.
- Perform wiring and cabling tasks, such as running cables, terminating connections, and organizing equipment racks.
- Install and configure speakers, lighting keypads, and home theaters according to client requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to system installation, connectivity, and functionality.
- Collaborate with clients, project managers, and team members for successful project completion and customer satisfaction.
- Provide training and support to clients on the operation and use of installed systems.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in home automation technology.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in high-end residential homes, installing A/V and home automation systems.
- Strong knowledge and experience in wiring new construction homes, including low voltage cabling and networking.
- Proficiency in installing and configuring speakers, lighting keypads, equipment racks, and home theaters.
- Familiarity with security and automation systems, such as intercoms, security cameras, card access control, alarm systems, and lighting controls.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, software/systems, programs, schematics, and operation/product manuals.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to efficiently resolve technical issues.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with clients and team members.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to home automation installation.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Salary:
The salary for this position is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
