Building Systems Commissioning Specialist
We have an immediate need for a Commissioning Specialist. The successful candidate will hold a key position and function as an onsite representative for ongoing construction projects. Key duties include working with compliance issues on new and retrofit projects.
Other Duties Include:
- Work closely with various stakeholders including the Construction & Project Manager
- Travel to job sites to verify the installation meets design intent, collect crucial information, and report results
- Review design drawings, develop commissioning procedures, edit plans and schedules
· Prepare commissioning schedule data for integration to overall project schedules.
- Prepare documents and reports
- Communicate with clients for design and schedule requirements, while developing scalable systems to create efficient processing of reporting data
- Prepare and maintain commissioning records of site examinations, checklists and testing
· Contribute views on designs, constructions, and proposals during project management meetings.
- Work with the engineers and architects to survey sites and verify condition of equipment
- Be prepared to provide diagnostic support on different projects and troubleshooting where needed
- Manage your time on the project to meet the schedule and scope of the project
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of Commissioning experience
- Technical college diploma or university degree
- Fundamental working knowledge of HVAC and associated building systems
- Excellent report writing skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent at meeting project schedules and time deliverables
- Strong knowledge of Ontario building codes and standards
- Advanced database development knowledge for effectively collecting and reporting information
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Valid Ontario drivers license
· Highly effective negotiation, diplomatic, and conflict resolutions skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction
- Must work well under pressure with multiple demands and projects

Salary: $70,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
