Job Description
The Automotive Credit Analyst is responsible for reviewing submitted Credit Applications from Dealers through Dealer Track or other similar tools. Must be able to read, understand and evaluate credit bureau reports for creditworthiness and make sound evaluation decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Reviewing and adjudicating vehicle loan applications by assessing customer's creditworthiness based on credit history, affordability, and collateral valuation.
- Ensuring loan applications are decisioned accurately and timely in a fast-paced environment and in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures.
- Conducting preliminary validation of application details.
- Communicating with dealers and sales team regarding active applications over the phone and through email.
- Answering and responding promptly to inbound calls from dealer partners for non-prime credit activities.
- Making outbound calls to dealers to obtain additional information relating to applications and negotiate the terms of credit approval.
- Balancing your attention between new applications, resubmissions, and any rush requests.
- Handling all customer requests with a focus of service excellence, in a timely manner.
Job Specifications
- Relevant automotive industry experiences a definite asset.
- Prior credit adjudication / credit underwriting experience required.
- Preference will be given to those with specific auto loan adjudication experience.
- Prior working experience with Inovatec – COMPASS/JAVELIN LOS portal a definite asset.
- Familiarity / working knowledge with Dealer Track Portal an asset.
- Displays a commitment towards teamwork and collaboration.
- Energetic participation and interactions with Team chats and meetings.
- A flexible, self-disciplined individual able to work remotely (from home) with little supervision.
- Demonstrates an excellent knowledge and understanding of reading a credit bureau report.
- Capable of working in a face-paced environment to achieve departmental service level goals.
- Able to work in a rotating shift schedule – including some Saturdays.
- Strong organizational and priority management skills.
- Proactive, enthusiastic, motivated, and flexible.
- You bring a very positive energy and a strong desire to contribute and assist the team.

- Excellent communication, both written and verbal.
- Ability to articulate solutions with concise direction.
