Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Manager, Early Talent Acquisition. In this key role, you will collaborate with a diverse range of internal stakeholders to shape and lead QuadReal's Early Talent programs. As the Manager, you will help drive the strategic objectives of our Early Talent program and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure a consistent pipeline of early talent for our company. This will include intern/co-op hiring, program management, and strengthening partnerships with academic institutions.
The Manager, Early Talent will report to the Director, Talent Acquisition and will lead and mentor a team of two Recruiters on the Early Talent Acquisition team.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including business unit leaders, HR Business Partners, and senior executives, to develop and execute QuadReal's Early Talent Acquisition strategy.
Engage with cross-functional teams to gather insights and feedback to identify strengths and areas for improvement in QuadReal's Early Talent Acquisition programs and refine the strategy accordingly.
Establish and nurture partnerships with post-secondary institutions in Canada, the US, and the UK to build and maintain consistent talent pipelines for respective geographies, working with various stakeholders to ensure alignment with business needs.
Cultivate strong relationships with post-secondary institutions, engaging with Career Services, student groups, and alumni, as well as leveraging the expertise of QuadReal employees who have connections within these institutions.
Lead the Early Talent Acquisition team with a focus on communication, collaboration, mentoring and individual/team development.
Assist the team with creating and improving work processes, aided by technology where possible, that streamline their work and allow them to focus on student and hiring manager interactions.
Enhance Early Talent reporting by collaborating with internal teams to ensure the program's goals are measured effectively and provide insights for strategic decision-making. Seek input from stakeholders to understand their needs and align reporting accordingly.
While interns are at QuadReal, ensure they are receiving a quality experience through programs and events with business leaders that showcase our culture and employee experience.
Develop strong partnerships with the HR Business Partner team to ensure the early talent program aligns with broader business and HR goals.
Qualifications and Experience:
A University Degree or Post-Graduate Degree in a field relating to Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or Commerce is preferred.
5 years of Early Talent Acquisition/ Campus Recruitment experience.
2-3 years of people management experience.
Strong Post-secondary institution school relationships in Canada and a preference for international experience in the US or UK.
Proven relationship management experience.
Excellent project/program management experience with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Proven ability to create and execute campus recruiting strategies and programs that are scalable for future growth.
High energy and passion for recruiting and talent management.
Ability to travel as needed.
Strong presentation and relationship management skills: ability to manage relationships at all levels including senior leaders across QuadReal and from students, faculty, and administration within targeted post secondary institutions.
Strategic thinking: ability to contribute to, pivot and operationalize strategic plans in response to changes in the internal/external environment.
Growth mindset: collaborate and excel in an agile environment to drive broader team goals and objectives; Strong ability to partner with peers on the Talent team, with stakeholders across QuadReal and with a broad and diverse network of external partners.
Data-driven mindset to improve recruitment processes, with positive, quantifiable results.
