The Junior Business Analyst (JBA) is a career development position that will be involved in the following strategic portfolios:
- Documentation Transformation that centers on standardizing NAC’s business process documentation while preserving institutional knowledge and promoting organizational excellence
- Quality Excellence that augments NAC’s Quality Management System and strengthens our Quality performance, and
- Sustainable Construction that adopts, practices and tracks pragmatic construction methods, materials, innovation and waste reduction
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the direction of the Senior Manager of Safety Quality and Sustainability, you will be responsible for the following:
Documentation Transformation Portfolio
- Partner with stakeholders across NAC departments and co-manage their interface with the three strategic portfolios
- Map out business processes including the participants, inputs, step sequences and deliverables
- Assist in upgrading business documentation including policies, procedures, standards, work methods and forms
- Other duties, as assigned
Quality Excellence Portfolio
- Assist in developing Quality objectives and key performance indicators
- Co-develop Quality instructions, tool box talks, templates and checklists
- Develop and apply Quality performance reporting and year-end Quality Management Review processes
- Other duties, as assigned
Sustainable Construction
- Assist in developing Sustainability objectives and key performance indicators
- Develop and maintain a carbon footprint reduction program
- Identify, assess, propose and pilot viable sustainable construction methods
- Other duties, as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
- The ideal candidate is a natural planner, effective communicator, and detail-oriented analyst
- University/college degree in Business Management, Communications, Technical Writing or related area
- Strong communication skills – able to communicate clearly, effectively and in a timely manner
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Ability to identify and document with accuracy solutions to complex business problems
- Self-Starter who takes independent action and goes beyond what the job or situation requires
- Effective knowledge of Microsoft applications, Word, Excel, Visio
- Ability to be productive in a fast-paced environment
- Previous similar work experience is an asset
- Valid Canadian driving licence and vehicle required
