Position Title: Maintenance Scheduler, Fixed Plant (Fly-In-Fly-Out)
Salary Range: $50/hr plus OT ($70/hr over a 12 hour day)
About the Client and Role
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Scheduler is responsible for developing the weekly schedules for the fixed plant maintenance by working together with the planning and execution teams. Working with the Parts Coordinator, this position will ensure that all parts are staged and accounted for in preparation for the weekly schedule. This position will work on a rotational basis with a 12-hour shift, 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off. Pay is $50/hr plus OT after 8 hours per day ($58/hr for a 12 hour day). Flights provided, camp accommodations.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

Safety of self and others;

Review planned work orders to ensure they are ready to be scheduled;

Schedule planned work orders for the Fixed Plant Maintenance by attaining feedback from the execution and operations teams and determining criticality;

Run the weekly scheduling meeting;

Communicating with multiple departments to arrange equipment accessibility;
Qualifications and Experience:
-
Five (5) to six (6) years practicing as a Journeyperson Millwright, Welder, or Mechanic or Mechanical or Electrical Technician;

Three (3) years of experience in a mining environment;

Four (4) years of experience planning/scheduling;

Knowledge of crushing equipment, cone crushers, gyratory crushers, conveying equipment;

Knowledge of mining processes and familiarity with heavy maintenance processes

Intermediate computer proficiency (Microsoft Word, Excel and Project);

Experience working with CMMS

Familiar with project management principles;
-
Have a proven commitment to safety, health and environmental standards.
