What YOU Will Do
Under the supervision of the Senior Coordinator – ESG Strategy, the incumbent supports the Environment and Sustainable Development team in collecting and analyzing data to develop its ESG strategy and the company’s ISO 14001:2015-certified environmental management system. The incumbent maintains and develops performance indicators and helps improve Environment and ESG data collection and dashboards. The candidate conducts and maintains a market review and assessment to identify Pomerleau’s competitive positioning in the Canadian construction industry. This hybrid role between projects and corporate teams will enable the incumbent to help advance Pomerleau’s ESG strategy, improve the environmental management System (EMS) and implement concrete actions to meet objectives, all within a growing team of dynamic and passionate individuals.

Collect, validate and analyze data for departmental dashboards and periodic reports, e.g. GHG inventory, diversion rate tracking, on-site spills, corrective actions in the event of non-conformities, etc., to ensure compliance and improve the company’s ESG performance;

Help improve the tools used to compile the company’s ESG and EMS performance, in collaboration with the Innovation team and other departments;

Monitor trends, best practices, regulatory changes and evolving ESG frameworks, as well as opportunities in the credit market and carbon sink;

Support the preparation of case studies and analysis (business case) for initiatives, requests for qualification, project proposals and grant applications for sustainable development;

Maintain Pomerleau’s pre-qualification records and ESG performance for its clients, partners, insurers, etc;

Implement, maintain and improve digital platforms linked to the environmental management system and help with their integration into the Quality, Health and Safety departments;

Structure and maintain the environmental documentation virtual library;

Communicate ESG performance and progress to the company’s various stakeholders.
What YOU Will Bring

Bachelor’s degree in business intelligence, statistics, engineering, mathematics (any other relevant field or level of education related to the position will be considered), environment, sustainable development or relevant discipline;

Experience in developing business intelligence and analytics, an asset;

High proficiency with the Microsoft Office software suite (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint);

Experience in creating dashboards and visualizing data via Power BI, Salesforce CRM Analytics or other visualization tools, an asset;

More than two years of experience as a business analyst or environmental consultant in sustainable development, or in a similar role;

Master’s degree, an asset;

Knowledge and interest in environmental regulations and ESG frameworks;

Excellent analytical and communication skills;

Demonstrate initiative, dynamism and self-reliance;
-
Demonstrate a strong cooperative spirit and an aptitude for working in a multidisciplinary team in the field of construction;

Bilingual (French and English).
