The Woodworking Production Lead will report to the Director of Operations and ensure that our team operates efficiently and delivers on production targets. This role is a unique opportunity to build and lead a team of 8-16 individuals in our precision woodshop and production area. You will be responsible for full oversight of our process including; recruitment, raw material processing, woodworking through to the dispatch of finished products.
Responsibilities
- Supervises and schedules the shop team, with daily shop meetings and task delegation.
- Manages the team's production schedule.
- Leads by example; ensures wood working practices are trained to and maintained at a high standard.
- Interpretsdrawings and product specifications.
- Responsible for the quantity of products produced.
- Manages compliance to company safety guidelines.
- Manages upkeep of equipment preventative maintenance.
- Manages compliance to company manufacturing processes.
- Manages employee performance including; attendance and performance reviews.
- Manages recruitment of new team members.
- Responsible for timesheet approvals.
- Responsible for building a high performance shop culture and nurtures talent within the team; supporting team member growth.
- Supports job quoting and estimates.
- Manages shop consumables.
- Reporting KPI Performance

Requirements
- Red Seal joinery certification or equivalent in Joinery or Carpentry
- Minimum 2 years experience in supervision in a shop/manufacturing environment
- Previous experience in startups is an asset
