The Role:
We are seeking a creative, Human Resources/Admin Clerk to work closely with Service Coordination Support Human Resources to promote a healthy and inclusive work culture, job satisfaction, positive relationships, employee engagement and professional development.
Reporting to the Supervisor of Human Resources, the HR/Admin Clerk provides administrative support to the Human Resources team. The HR/Admin Clerk will provide a full range of support through the full cycle of Talent Management activities (recruitment, selection, onboarding, training, development, engagement/retention, performance management and succession planning).
The responsibilities you’ll be trusted with include:

Provides recruitment and staffing support; including, assists in the short listing of potential candidates; performs telephone screening and scheduling interviews.

Requests references from successful candidates and checks references

Prepares pre and post interview correspondence (i.e. interview questions and un- successful candidate letters)

Prepares orientation schedules for successful candidates, schedules orientation meetings in calendar and monitors completion of orientation

Coordinates mandatory training dates with all SCS departments.

Assists the HR team with data entry

Redirecting HR related calls to the appropriate person within the HR unit when necessary

HRIS data entries, including set up of new hires, employee changes and ensuring records stay current.

Processes Training Requests which may involve booking flights and hotel rooms

Track probationary period performance evaluations for new hires and send successful probationary letters.

Performs other duties and completes additional projects as assigned, commensurate with job knowledge and experience

What you bring:

Completion of a recognized Human Resources certificate or diploma program
-
Two to three years Human Resources experience
-
Three to five years of administrative office experience
-
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills.

Must have strong analytical and reasoning skills.

Bilingual in both official languages (written and spoken) is essential.

Excellent organization and time management skills to meet scheduled deadlines.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle a number of issues simultaneously.

Ability to act with integrity, sound judgement, discretion and confidentiality.

Exceptional attention to detail is essential.

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, internet, social media and database applications.

Open minded and interested in learning new things.

Experience with a not-for-profit organization would be considered an asset
