Position: Building Maintenance Worker

Salary: $27. 35-$29.30 /hour
First responders to emer gencies; including fire alarms and building management sy stem alarms
Small repairs on kitchen & laundry equipment
Daily meter readings
Daily pool water chemical testing, and calibration of water testing equipment
Filter changing on all HVAC equ ipment, and water filters
Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment and make minor purchases as required
Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilating, plumbing and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs
Perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair
Respond to requests from hotel guests and residents for minor repairs
Perform daily inspections on the building systems; including boiler room, water entry and HVAC
Provide general assistance to skilled trade persons such as mechanics, electricians, carpenters and plumbers
May move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies
Perform all other tasks or projects assigned by hotel management.
Completion of Secondary School
Trades Certification, or Engineering education is strongly preferred but experience in maintenance may substitu te
Minimum 1 year in building maintenance experience
Strong command of the English language.
Excellent commitment to service and teamwork.
Ability to obtain a clean criminal record check.
As our hotel is open 24/7, 365 days a year, we expect our service team to be flexible in working mornings, evenings, weekends, overnights and holidays.
Great attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
