Summary of responsibilities
The junior financial analyst will have the opportunity to collaborate closely with the senior financial analyst and the Director of Finance on special projects. Additionally, the individual will have the chance to add value by improving process efficiency!

Actively participate in the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.

Be responsible for the vendor rebate process.

Monitor and analyze various financial information or performance evaluation reports.

Track and reconcile vendor accounts or other financial-related records.

Participate in the annual audit and internal control audit processes.

Monitor the effectiveness and improvement of internal controls.

Involvement in the preparation of tax returns (Corporate and Mining Taxes).

Support the Finance department team.

Perform any other related tasks.
Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (with a focus on accounting); Certificate in accounting or relevant college-level accounting training.

Functional bilingualism (French and English).

Experience in the mining industry is an asset.

Knowledge of IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).

Proficient knowledge of Excel.

Familiarity with software such as CaseWare, Great Plains, and Guide TI is a plus.

Pursuing a CPA (Certified Public Accountant) designation is an asset.
