As a Senior QA Analyst, you will be leading and shaping the overall quality assurance process on a team involved in a major initiative at Best Buy. This team will be an integral part of modernizing and adding to our eCommerce fulfillment and logistics capabilities. This role involves strategizing, planning, and executing testing efforts for both hardware and software while promoting test automation and continuous process improvement. The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership skills, excellent collaboration abilities, testing expertise, and a passion for maintaining top-notch software quality.
This role requires in-person collaboration and coordination at our Brampton warehouse. The successful candidate will need to be present in the Greater Toronto area for this purpose.
What you’ll do:
Develop, implement, and lead the overall QA strategy for a major initiative that impacts multiple teams and disciplines.
Enhance quality by influencing all areas of the SDLC by collaborating with management, developers, architects, business, and other stakeholders.
Establish and enrich reporting mechanisms and metrics for QA activities and deliverables to inform leadership, stakeholders, and business partners of the state of quality.
Drive quality processes with a team including automation, performance, security, and other types of testing.
Determine the requirements for deploying new features and functions to developer and test environments.
Advocate for end users when designing or assessing new features or functionality.
Execute automated tests, analyze results as well as create automation scripts and perform test maintenance.
Play a leadership role in the Community of Practice, sharing insights and fostering collaboration among team members.
What we’re looking for:
7+ years of experience planning, designing, developing, and executing tests.
4+ years of leadership experience with initiatives and/or projects.
2+ years of experience creating automation in Java or another similar language.
2+ years of UI automation experience with Selenium, Java, or any relevant scripting language.
Experience working in an agile environment.
Experience with automation testing across webapps, API’s, micro services, and backend systems.
Experience with various forms of testing such as security, compliance, reliability, and performance.
Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure and experience with services such as Azure, AWS, and Oracle Cloud.
1+ years of testing hardware machinery specifically in warehouse management is a nice to have.
