We are currently seeking a Service Coordinator to join our TK Transport Team.
The successful candidate for this position will be an important and valued contributor to our Team. Our customers will depend on your ongoing commitment to their service needs, and on your expertise and troubleshooting skills to keep their temperature control equipment operating reliably and efficiently. You will possess a positive team-focused attitude and communication skills (verbal and written), and the ability to work independently while providing consistent high-quality detailed work.

JOB SUMMARY
This is a key position within our organization; our customers depend on your technical expertise and troubleshooting skills to keep their equipment operating reliably and efficiently to prevent the risk of down time to their business.

The Service Coordinator will report to the Service Manager, and will work closely with the Shop Lead, technicians, parts department, and sales teams.
This position is based in Edmonton, Alberta. It is an in-office position.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Communicate directly with customers via phone, email, and in person.

Manage incoming customer queries and requests, and gathering sufficient information to facilitate quick diagnosis of technical issues.

Utilize business systems to schedule and organize, in real time, all technical service work and repairs.

Organize and schedule daily workload for a team of reefer technicians.

Morning and afternoon walkthroughs of shop bays to obtain real-time updates of scheduled work for purposes of updating records and following up with customers.
- When time permits, proactively schedule preventive maintenance and repairs with existing customer base.

Estimate and prepare quotes for preventive maintenance, repairs, overhauls, and follow up as needed with customers.

Maximize efficiency and productivity of customer service.
- Work with field technicians and parts and service team to coordinate successful estimates through to customer satisfaction and follow-up. Estimates will require research for the materials, parts, and labor needed to carry out approved repairs.

Review work orders for clarity and accuracy prior to submission for invoicing.

Work with Parts Manager to ensure technicians have required parts to effectively complete tasks on-time and within budget.

Process warranty and freight damage claims.
- Participate in the company Safety and Wellness Program, with a basic understanding of hazard assessment Assist parts and service departments with duties as assigned.

SKILLS REQUIRED

Strong communication with customer-centric focus, both verbal and written.

Able to work consistently at a fast pace with high attention to detail.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Self-motivated, highly innovative, strong initiative, self-directed, and capable of working under stressful timelines.

Technical aptitude with ability to read and understand technical manuals, parts manuals, etc. is considered an asset.

Strong computer skills with an understanding of basic scheduling and invoicing systems.

Ability to navigate Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Word, proprietary software and other related business systems.

Previous customer service, estimating, and administrative experience is considered an asset.

Seeking candidates eligible for employment in local region. Position is not eligible for remote work or relocation.
EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or equivalency.
-
Valid Class 5 Drivers license would be considered an asset.
